First Flutterings

From the moment I found out I was pregnant I have had trouble conceiving and connecting with the little life inside. My reading reveals this happens to most everyone, then there are those who are excited from the very beginning. . .

Over the last week or so I've been wondering when I would feel my little person. There was not pressure, only my mother asking at the start of every one of our conversations if BC (baby coutsoumpos) made his/herself present. Slight jealousy crept in when two of my pregnant friends, who are 4 & 6 weeks behind me and second time veterans, announced that not only did they feel their babies move but, their spouses did too!

So BC and I had a talk and as I was settling in a couple nights ago I felt my first flutterings! As everyone says, it's indescribable. Sort of like large bubbles popping or if you could translate the sound when you're underwater into a gentle feeling, that's what it would be.

I now have confirmation that there is a living being inside of me that's growing along with my excitement. :o)
