Coming to Term. . .

After talking with HD, and our midwife appointment this morning we've concluded that this weekend coming up will be the approximate forty week mark! (I knew I was feeling too good to be having a baby any day.)

This means that I could still have potentially two weeks left in the pregnancy. . . whoopee??? Technically I'm still not ready though, my preparation and nesting projects are nearly done. We'll see what BC wants to do. (This weekend coming up there's a full moon!)

Of course all of this confusion could have been avoided if I paid attention to the date of my last period. (kudos to you who do!) And if we'd gotten an early ultrasound. Although I did none of those things, I am very, Very, VERY fortunate to have a care provider who is NOT quick to induce, or actually induce at all, and who is very flexible and trusting in a woman's body to do it's job in its own time! (This will not be the post where we'll get into the importance of a care provider who has your best interest at heart. . .)

So, to all of you who are waiting for BC, we've got to come to terms that we just have to wait a little bit longer!

Deidra,
I come on to your website every once and awhile from Heather's website, and reading your blog always makes my day. You have a way of making the love, blessings and reality of your experiences come through. I will be praying for both you and Otis as you prepare for this exciting new time!

Wow, Isaac and I were really wondering about you thinking that maybe you had forgotten to tell us :) If you continue like this we will have our child at the same time. I had a false alert last week: contractions every 10 mn between 3 and 6 in the morning.
